2024 MAINSTAGE SPEAKERS
FAQ
My company would love to sponsor BLD SOUTHEAST in 2024. Where can I find more information about sponsorship opportunities?
Please, express your interest as a potential sponsor by emailing Nathan Stuck at nathan@profitablepurposeconsulting.com.
Where can I buy tickets for the conference?
2024 BLD SE tickets are on sale here.
Do I need to own or work at a B Corp to attend?
Absolutely not. While this event is centered around the southeastern B Corp community, it is open to all social entrepreneurs, social impact and sustainability professionals, students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and anyone who believes in a reimagined capitalism that values both profit and purpose.
Who organizes BLD Southeast?
This is a volunteer-led, community-led, nonprofit event. We operate to cover our costs, and any remaining funds are equally distributed to our B Locals and B Local colonies (Alabama, Asheville/WNC, Florida, Georgia, Mid-Atlantic, New Orleans, & the Triangle).
When should I arrive?
If you can afford the extra night in the hotel, we recommend coming in on Tuesday, September 10th. While the official content doesn’t begin until Wednesday, many of us will be doing something fun as a group on Tuesday afternoon and evening, most likely exploring the Beltline and visiting the rooftop at Ponce City Market.
When should I leave?
We recommend leaving town on Friday, September 13th. After closing remarks at 4:30PM on Thursday, September 12th, we’ll have dinner and a closing reception at our hotel in The Livingston. Dinner will start at 6PM and the reception will continue until 9PM.
One other thing to note, our excursion to take the sustainability tour at Mercedes Benz Stadium has been rescheduled to Friday, September 13th at 10AM. It should wrap around 12PM, which would get you to the airport by 12:30PM if you are flying out.
When does official content begin?
Our excursions start Wednesday morning at 9:30, 10:00, and 12:00, respectively. While they’re all incredible, they are optional. Official programming begins at 3:00 at Atlantucky Brewing, and the first speaker will take the stage at 3:30.
Where should I stay if I'm coming from out of town?
All main activities on Sept 12th will be hosted at the Georgian Terrace Hotel, so we recommend staying there. We have a room block available September 10th - 13th starting at $175/night.
I have questions about the hotel. Do they have an FAQ page?
Yes, here it is.
Can I attend more than one excursion?
While you could conceivably make the cleanup and the RICE excursion, we don’t recommend it. It’s still pretty warm in September and anyone on the trash walk will likely want to freshen up before the afternoon events.
Can I bounce between different tracks on Day Two?
Of course. We encourage you to find the content that appeals to you.
Will there be swag?
No, in the spirit of “the world has enough crap,” we will not be giving away any swag. Attendees will receive a copy of Chris Marquis’ new book The Profiteers.
What happened to the Mercedes Benz excursion?
It’s been moved until Friday, September 13th. Mercedes Benz USA, the namesake of the stadium, booked the entire stadium for an employee event. So we are pivoting and rescheduling the tour. We’ll have capacity for 50 attendees at this event. The tour is incredible, so if you can stick around, we’d love to show off the country’s only zero-waste LEED Platinum stadium.
How do I get to the hotel from the airport?
Go green, and take MARTA. You can take the red train towards North Springs Station and exit at the North Avenue station. The hotel is walking distance (roughly 3 minutes) from the station. You can also use a rideshare or taxi to arrive at the hotel.
Should I rent a car?
You shouldn’t need one. You can easily arrive at the hotel by public transportation or rideshare. Day One’s events are a $10 rideshare from the hotel and Day Two is at the hotel.
